Been a while…

It has been a hot minute since soccer was part of our life. Jace face decided she wanted to give it a go this year. So, we signed her up for Rec soccer with the city. It was a real throwback to see her in the same jersey that Rae and Jax used to wear almost 10 years ago. It was a little rough at first, but she has improved every week and is gaining some confidence. She is super sad to see the season coming to an end and will probably want to play again next year. Last week before the game I took some pics of her team.

Rae and Scott

This is the slideshow we put together to be played at Rae and Scott’s reception coming up. Can’t believe my baby is almost a married woman.

Engaged

Rae and Scott are engaged. Have I mentioned that before? Is it crazy? Yes. Is it crazy awesome? Yes. Does it make me feel old? Yes. I can’t believe our little girl is all growed up and getting married. I can’t believe how beautiful she is. We ran out and took engagement photos for their announcement, just a half mile from our house.

Fall 2018

It’s strange. In our 2016 fall photos, we had the whole family. All six kids. By the time 2017 fall pics rolled around we were down to 4 kids. Jaxson and Rae were both gone. And now here we are in 2018. Back up to 5. Rae may not be with us long, and Steve will be leaving in the spring, but for now, these are the kids we have at home.

We just ran out to a corn field a couple blocks from home, and around the corner to Jordan river.

Rae is 20 years old and dating the boy she is going to marry. I figure I’ll lose her early next year. Not lose her. Gain a son.

Steve is 18. He’s an adult. And he’ll be leaving on his mission in the early spring. I can’t.

Katauna… 16. When did this happen? Sienna 11… wait what?! Jace 10…stop. Just stop.

Softening the blow

We did love Indiana. It will always hold a bit of my heart. Forever. But there are things we didn’t have there, that we do have here. Important things. Things like…. Grandma. And Grandma’s rolls.

Good things.
