While the big kids were home with Aunt Ashley, Jace, Sienna and I headed down to see dad. Kari and Aidan came with us to see Dalan. We left town around 1pm on Friday and made pretty good time getting down. We went out to dinner on Friday night at a Mexican Restaraunt, and then went back to the house where the guys are staying. They had to work on Saturday, but at least they cut the day a little short for us. Saturday night Jason and I and the girls went to the Lone Rock beach (Lake Powell). It’s only about 2 minutes from their house. We found a good spot and spent a few hours there with the girls. Sunday morning we had a nice breakfast at home, and then spent the rest of the day at the beach with Dalan and Kari and the kids. Dad had to leave for work at 6 a.m. on Monday, so Kari and I headed home at that time as well. It was so nice to be able to spend a weekend with Jason – just relaxing. The water was great, the sun was warm, the girls had a blast. Can’t wait to go back with all the kids some time. It was my first time to Lake Powell, and I quite enjoyed it.
While the big boys were at work on Saturday, Kari and I drove into Page, AZ to grab some lunch at a drive in. Sienna and Aidan got along okay this weekend…as long as they were not within arm’s distance of each other!
Jace digging in the sand. I think she was hungry…
Yep… hungry. Mmmm tastes good, a little gritty though.
Oh, sisterly love. I’m leaving out the pictures where Jace is screaming her head off, taken about 4 seconds after this shot.
At first Sienna was a little nervous about the water, and the sand, and basically the whole thing. Once we got her interested in finding shells, she got over her fears.
All in all a wonderful couple of days with dad. It was good for him to see the girls, I know he was missing his big kids something fierce too.
The End.
