A work in progress

Over the past few weeks there has been a bit of construction going on at the Perry house. When Jace was about 6 months old, we decided she was getting old enough to stop sleeping in the swing in the living room. We got her a crib and were faced with the dilemma of where to put it. We already had two beds and a crib in the girl’s room, and two beds in the boy’s room. There simply wasn’t room to add a fourth girl to the one bedroom. So, we kicked the boys out. We banished them to the unfinished basement. (They loved it.) We hung a couple sheets, got them a space heater to weather out the spring, and called it good. A few weeks ago we decided it was time to get them some walls. Luckily, we know a guy who is kinda good at that kind of stuff.
Here are the studs going up. And if you look close you can see the Stud putting them up.
Jaxson and Teegan also helped with the entire project.

The first piece of drywall.
We are not finishing it off completely right now, we used the rest of our current basement budget to build shelves in the storage room, and section off and wire a wood shop for Jason. But the walls are sheet-rocked, they have plugs and a lightswitch. It’s a definite improvement on the sheets they had for walls just a couple weeks ago!
Ta-Da! Thanks dad, for being so talented!
