Rexburg

On the way home from our little campout we decided to take a drive down memory lane. I haven’t been back to Rexburg since leaving Ricks College in 1996 to run off and marry my prince charming. It has definitely changed a lot in the last 13 years, mostly due to the college becoming a 4-year university instead of 2-yr. Rexburg itself has stayed mostly the same, but the school has changed a lot. We drove around and showed the kids where dad used to live, and where mom used to live, and where we used to go to classes, and the gardens where we took our engagement photos. A lot of memories wrapped up in that little city. We were also able to see the Rexburg temple for the first time.
I took this picture from the car while driving by. The sky was beautiful that day. I loved the opportunity to relive some 13 year old memories, and add a new memory of showing our past to our kiddos. I hope when they have been married 13 years, they will have amazing memories, but even more important, I hope they have an amazing present filled with family and love and forever like we do.
